Sex Toys: What You Should Know About Vibrators

When the subject of sex toys comes up, most people automatically think of vibrators…and for good reason. They are by far the most popular types of sex toys around and they are certainly the most recognizable. In addition, vibrators are quite inexpensive, and they are some of the most versatile sex toys available on the market. And as far as sensations go, the vibrating action makes them pretty hard to beat.

With the many different types of vibrators available on the market, it can be quite a daunting task to settle on only one or two. In fact, some estimates place the number of vibrators on the market as somewhere in the hundreds! While this means that you may be in for a bit of a search in order to find the ideal vibrator for you, the good thing is that you have an almost limitless array of options.

There are a few things you should know about vibrators first though. For one thing, many of the ones that you will commonly come across are designed as novelty sex toys, which means that they are not really intended to last that long. In fact, some of the cheaper vibrators you can buy in the market will only last a few uses or a few days to a month at most. That being said, you can generally expect better performance and longer life from vibrators that are sold as "personal massagers". These types of vibrators typically come with warranties, which assures you of a replacement in case it breaks down sooner than it should.

While most vibrators are designed to work with batteries, there are some vibrators on the market that are meant to be plugged into wall sockets. Battery-powered vibrators are the overwhelmingly popular choice for most people, mainly because of their portability and low cost. However, electric vibrators offer the advantage of stronger vibrations and a more durable design. In addition, many AC vibrators offer a variable speed setting, which gives you a lot more options.

In general, AC vibrators are a bit easier to clean than battery operated ones, since they are designed to be taken apart. This means you can simply detach the part to be cleaned, leaving the plug end free from moisture. Battery operated vibrators on the other hand can get damaged when cleaned with running water, making a wipe down with a moist rag and perhaps some rubbing alcohol the best cleaning options.

Regardless of which type of vibrator you go for, it is important to make sure that it suits your preferences and needs. Take your time and research the different options carefully, and you should be able to find one that will serve you for a long time.
